Process: | The spraying process uses wet spraying to spray 2 to 3 layers on the surface of the substrate. Pay attention to leaving 5 to 10 minutes of evaporation time between each two layers. After spraying, the paint film needs to stand for 10 to 15 minutes. Then bake. Thickness in dry film state: 35~50 microns |
C-237 2K Pure black paint is a car paint with a high concentration of black pigments, which creates a deep, intense black effect. Color concentration refers to the content or concentration of pigment in a paint, which determines the color depth and saturation of the coating.
For pure black car paint, generally speaking, the higher the color concentration, the stronger and deeper the black effect of the coating. The unit of measurement for color concentration can be volume concentration or mass concentration, depending on the measurement standard you are using.
In the automotive industry, a commonly used metric is mass concentration. The color concentration of pure black paint is usually expressed in mass percentage, for example, 10%, 20%, etc. This means that when formulating a paint, pure black pigment is added to the base pigment in a proportion to achieve the desired color concentration.
It should be noted that the higher the color density, the better. Excessive color concentration may result in uneven coating, poor leveling or increased coating thickness, thereby affecting the quality and durability of the coating. Therefore, when using pure black paint, it is recommended to choose the appropriate color concentration based on specific needs and applications.
The optimal color concentration depends on the painter's preferences, the type of vehicle and the requirements of the application. You can discuss it with your car painter to determine the best solid black paint color concentration for your product.
Preparation for spray paint:
Make sure the work area is well ventilated and wear appropriate personal protective equipment such as a respirator, gloves and goggles.
Gather the materials and tools you need, including plain black paint, thinner, stir stick, weighing equipment, spray gun, and cleaning supplies.
Mixing and blending:
Determine the mixing ratio of pure black paint according to the recipe or guidance provided in the Meklon instructions. This is usually expressed as volume percent or mass percent.
Pour the desired amount of pure black paint into the container.
Follow the recipe and gradually add the appropriate amount of diluent. Note, be careful when adding diluent to avoid too low or too high a color concentration.
Use a stir stick to mix thoroughly to ensure that the pigment and thinner are fully and evenly mixed together.
Preparation for spraying:
Clean and prepare surfaces for spraying. Make sure the surface is smooth and free of oil, dust or other impurities. Surface preparation can be done using appropriate cleaners and sandpaper.
Mask the surrounding area to prevent paint splatter or contamination during spraying.
Spraying process:
Adjust the spray gun pressure and nozzle size to suit the required coating thickness and spray area, and determine the spray distance and angle. Use even and overlapping spray motions, maintaining a consistent speed and pressure to ensure an even coat with no drips or sags. After each spray application, allow appropriate drying time and apply additional coats or touch-ups as needed.
Finish and clean:
After finishing spraying, check the quality and appearance of the coating. If necessary, grinding, polishing or other repair work can be performed.
To clean spray guns and tools, use the entire Meklon system.
